SOC 2024: Sociology of Race and Ethnicity

This course examines the social construction of race and ethnicity. Students will engage with topics such as: relations among ethnic and racial groups; immigration and patterns of racial and ethnic integration; social structures and processes that perpetuate racial and ethnic stratification; and consideration of the economic, political, social, and health challenges facing racial/ethnic minority groups in the United States.
